I'm not kidding when I say this is the Easiest Ever Apple Cake~ made of mostly pantry ingredients plus apples, mixed up in one bowl, baked in one basic baking pan you likely have in your collection~ that you stir together in no time and let bake on its own while you whip up the Heavenly Vanilla Sauce. Inspired by the amazing apple crepes with vanilla sauce my beautiful mom made every year for our long-standing neighborhood Easter brunch, this nostalgic riff brings all of the feels and comes together effortlessly. To serve:
Pull cooled apple cake out of loaf pan and transfer to cutting board.
Use serrated knife to cut 1 inch slices.
Transfer apple cake slices to serving plates and top with a dollop of Heavenly Vanilla Sauce.
