Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 17.3 ounce package Pepperidge Farms puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • sparkling sugar
  • sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and set oven rack in top third of oven.
  2. Lay thawed puff pastry sheets out on lightly floured surface. Use 3 1/4"diameter round cutter to cut 6 pastry circles. Use daisy cookie cutter to cut out 6 daisies, saving pastry frames.
  3. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, cream and almond extract until thoroughly combined.
  4. Place one scoop of almond filling in center of each pastry round.
  5. Mix egg and water to make egg wash. Then brush egg wash around pastry round edges. Top each with a daisy frame and press to adhere. Sprinkle each assembled pastry with sliced almonds and sparkling sugar. Transfer assembled pastries and daisies to parchment lined baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Serve warm and enjoy!
