My beautiful mom has been whipping up The Nutsnacker, one of my very favorite holiday appetizers, for as long as I can remember. A bacon, dill cheese ball with scallions you decorate with toasted almonds to look like a pine cone, it comes together in no time with just a few ingredients and is so satisfying spread on a wheat thin. Ingredients

  • 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 1 and 1/2 cups whole almonds, toasted
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp
  • 1 teaspoon dillweed

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese with scallions, bacon and dillweed.
  2. Spread mixture onto a serving platter in the shape of a pinecone.
  3. Decorate with almonds.
  4. Serve with Wheat Thins.
