22 Dec Special of the Day: Best Bites 2015
December truly is one of my favorite months of the year, for so many different reasons, one of which is that the end of the year yields itself to thoughtful reflection, a chance to look back and count your blessings. The past year of 2015 has afforded me the opportunity to slow down and savor the fragile and precious gift that life presents to us each and every day we wake up healthy and happy.
It has been great fun for me to flip back through the past twelve months to curate a collection of culinary treasures, a highlight reel of recipes to revisit from 2015 to share with you in today’s Special of the Day column.
Some recipes just stand out, so worth a second look~ they are just too good to forget. Such is the case with this week’s assemblage, recipes I have revisited on numerous occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed making time and time again.
Highlighting a collection of go-to favorites you just might find yourself making again and again, I give you this week’s Special of the Day~ Best Bites 2015. Happy cooking!
January 2015: Because who doesn’t love a baked potato bar made in the microwave?
February 2015: Let us not forget the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. Three words for you: Make this mousse!
March 2015: A meatloaf worth making, and I do not make meatloaf. Not to mention the white cheddar mashed potatoes which are to die for.
April 2015: If there is one sauce to firmly cement in your arsenal, this is the one. Put this béarnaise on everything.
May 2015: Bruschetta is the name of the game in the spring. Super simple and a perfect pairing with your favorite bottle of wine.
June 2015: Everything you need for these flavorful rubs is probably already in your spice cabinet. Super simple and so delicious!
July 2015: Because summer is always a good time for homemade ice cream sandwiches.
August 2015: If you can’t find huckleberries, don’t fret, any berry will work well, and you will LOVE these prize-winning cheesecakes!
September 2015: Delicious and nutritious, there’s no reason not to add these to your go-to recipe collection.
October 2015: Because a terrific-looking tasty treat is always better than a trick.
November 2015: Let your slow cooker do the cooking. You will not be sorry.
December 2015: Consider doubling (or tripling!) this one. The Salted Caramel Cashew Corn is seriously addictive.
