Super Simple Almond Pavlovas are a snap to make and the perfect dessert to whip up when you have some extra egg whites on hand. Top with sweetened whipped cream and fresh seasonal berries, and enjoy!
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment.
2. Beat 2 egg whites, 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and 1 teaspoon almond extract until soft peaks form.
3. Sprinkle in 1/2 cup sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff and glossy.
4. Spoon batter into nests on prepared baking sheet, sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake for 40 minutes.
5. Then turn off oven and let rest for 1 hour in oven with door shut.
6. Remove from oven, cool completely, then pipe with sweetened whipped cream and top with fresh raspberries and mint sprigs.
