Couldn't wait to get back in the kitchen and create these Kentucky Bourbon Balls after my girls' trip to Louisville, Kentucky with my sorority besties. These boozy nutty sweet treats are a breeze to make and would be such a lovely hostess or gourmet gift from the kitchen.
- Combine chopped pecans and bourbon in a bowl and stir to mix. Set aside and let pecans soak.
- Mix together butter and powdered sugar until combined.
- Stir in bourbon pecans. Scoop into small balls and transfer to parchment lined baking sheet. Freeze for an hour to set up.
- Dip bourbon balls in melted chocolate to cover, then transfer to parchment and let set.
- Drizzle additional melted chocolate over bourbon balls and sprinkle with smoked bourbon sugar.
- Keep refrigerated until ready to serve or gift
Enjoy!
*These are pretty rich, so you may want to make them small. I ended up cutting the ones I made in half.
