Chocolate Cherry Ganache Truffles
Let’s make Chocolate Cherry Ganache Truffles! The perfect make-ahead and wrap up elegantly gourmet gift you’ll enjoy giving all season long! These melt-in-your-mouth wonders require minimal ingredients and come together effortlessly.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- Himalayan sea salt for sprinkling, if desired
Instructions
- Simmer the cream.
- Dump in chocolate.
- Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes.
- Snip dried cherries into small pieces with kitchen shears.
- Whisk almond extract into ganache until smooth.
- Stir in dried cherries.
- Transfer ganache to glass bowl, cover and refrigerate until firm.
- Use small cookie scoop to scoop out truffles. (You may have to warm the ganache ever so slightly maybe 10-15 seconds in the microwave).
- Roll into balls and roll truffles in chopped pistachios.
- Drizzle with additional melted bittersweet chocolate and sprinkle with Himalayan sea salt, if desired.
